4 star review  I had a horrible experience getting take out from Fontina Grille but after speaking with their owner Ali, I am updating my review. Ali isn't exactly the nicest guy you know but he shows tremendous dedication to his restaurant and his customers. He actually reads every review which isn't common and wasn't something I expected. Their food and its quality are excellent, although their bread is not that great. They are one of the better Italian restaurants in the area. I understand times are tough and restaurants are suffering heavily; however, this means Ali's staff need to step up their service now more than ever before. I was pretty upset when I wrote my initial review but Ali apologized and made me an extra order for the trouble I went through. I wish him the best and look forward to ordering from him again. The following is what happened to my order from my perspective. It is more for Ali's staff so feel free to ignore it: My order bag was wet from one of their improperly sealed containers leaking and tore through, food fell all over my shoes, burning my foot, and making a mess on my carpet. Their telephone number did not work which is crucial in these times where many people are getting take out, so I could not call ahead to place another order. I drove all the way back with the food that fell in a double layered paper bag. The counter person was too busy chatting to help so I waited until she was available. When she stopped talking, she looked at me, knew I was there, and even then she did not ask if I needed help. The restaurant was not busy and I kept waiting until another employee walked in and was finally able to help me although he didn't seem sincere. I had to wait again for my order and drove back home where my family was waiting for a very late lunch. I spent over an hour cleaning the rest of the food off of my carpet and had to throw away my stained shoes.

5 star review  Four of us had dinner on a Saturday night. Food and service were both excellent. One had a margarita pizza and reported that the flavor and consistency were to his liking. I can't comment on it as I didn't taste the pizza; I was too busy eating my whole wheat penne with broccoli, seasoned with sun dried tomatoes, garlic and olive oil, topped with blackened salmon. I love to cook and this sort of dish is the kind I like to make at home. They did it perfectly, with crisp broccoli, a nice flavor balance, and properly blackened salmon. Another had fettuccine Alfredo and said she was quite happy with it. Lastly, my wife had a Greek salad with grilled chicken. Again, it was enjoyed. Service, once we were seated, was timely, not intrusive, just there when we needed it. Restaurant was very busy and somewhat noisy but we were able to have a lively dinner conversation. The only negative was the at the beginning. We made a 7:00 PM reservation and were not seated until 7:35 PM. Many people were crowding in the entrance way, likewise upset about the wait; however the manager explained to me that Open Table had made too many spots available, more than the restaurant could handle. The manager, whose name I failed to get, comped us with two appetizers as an apology. I really appreciate his efforts. As the Bard said, "All's well that ends well."
